Top 20 Best Selling Cars In Canada January 2015

The Hyundai Elantra began 2015 as Canadas best-selling car. January 2015 Elantra jumped 15% to a record-high for the compact Hyundai lineup.

• Canada Vehicle Sales Rankings By Model - January 2015
• Canada Car Sales Rankings By Model - January 2015

The Elantra was Canadas second-best-selling car in the 2014 calendar year, the fourth consecutive year in which the Elantra finished second to the Honda Civic.

Civic volume slid 31% last month, and the Civic slid to third spot in the passenger car standings.

Januarys results, however, mean very little in the grand scheme of things. At no other point on the calendar will Canadians buy cars in such small numbers. Thus, not only does the Civic have eleven months to overcome the deficit, it has 11 higher-volume months in which to act. The Civic has been Canadas best-selling car in each of the last 17 years.

The Toyota Camry led all midsize cars in Canada in January 2015. The Camry lest led on an annual basis in 2012. The Honda Fit, with triple the January volume in 2015 than in 2014, led all subcompacts. The only premium brand car to crack the top 20 in January was the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these best-selling cars can always be accessed through the dropdown menu at GCBCs Sales Stats page, and for those not viewing the mobile version of this site, near the top right of this page, as well. GoodCarBadCar has already published the list of Canadas best-selling trucks and best-selling SUVs in January 2015.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Release Date Performance Price Review

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Release Date Performance Price Review - The Nissan Juke Nismo RS is the most sizzling Juke yet in the event that you overlook the restricted run of skunkworks Juke R models packed with Nissan GT-R running rigging. Its basically an advancement of the Juke Nismo beforehand sold on these shores, however key changes to the autos transmission and underpinnings place it in a superior position to test the fragments more customary hot hatchbacks.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Release Date Performance Price Review

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Engine Review

Behind the Jukes as of late facelifted nose youll discover a 1.6 liter turbocharged four barrel motor. Another fumes framework and inner changes bring crest power up in the manual auto to 215bhp at 6000rpm (from 197bhp), while torque ascensions to another 206lb ft top (at 3600-4800rpm) from 184lb ft. Transmission alternatives are the same as in the recent past, with a six pace manual prepared front wheel drive model and an all wheel drive auto with a persistently variable setup.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS

The authority 0-62mph is 7sec for the front driver 8sec for the CVT. Each one sees huge changes in the RS: the manual gets closer-degree adapts, a reinforced grip and shockingly, a constrained slip differential, while the CVTs virtual degrees are additionally shorter and now incorporate an eighth apparatus. As some time recently, a Nissan GT R style torque vectoring framework redistributes force to the back pivot when needed.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Performance Review

Our first commute of the Juke Nismo RS occurred on Norwegia. The frosty surface is both a gift and a condemnation. From one viewpoint, taking care of comicalness is ensured. On the other, one additions basically no valuable input on the autos genuine footing, braking and taking care of attributes. no UK manager will ever float their studded tyred RS around a frosty version of the Silverstone circuit on their day by day drive.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS

It can however be gathered that the CVT autos torque vectoring truly does work like that in the GT-R. The autos prevalent taking care of trademark on the tricky surface is still understeer, however get on the throttle early and force is bolstered to the back wheels, killing the autos parity and on the ice, transitioning to effectively controlled oversteer. Shockingly Nissans work to concentrate a sportier note than before from the changed fumes framework still hasnt brought about a charming snarl. The ceaseless rambling we encountered under full throttle can be leveled generally at the CVT, however an energetic grate much the same as Ford Fiesta STs and Polo GTIs is still striking by its nonattendance.
Theres additionally an absence of collaboration from the eight virtual velocities flicking all over the proportions with the carbon impact oars brings about next to no prize, however the capacity to clutch "apparatuses" brings about a more regular feeling throttle reaction in corners. Still, we think the correct manual will be the one to strive for.

2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS Price Review

The new Juke Nismo RS begins at £21,650. That is more than youll pay for a Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTi or Renaultsport Clio 200, however the Jukes individual request goes somehow to advocating the additional money.

2015 Acura TLX Reviews Specs and Releasing Date

The TLX will slot below the RLX in Acuras lineup, and get the option of a four- or six-cylinder engine. We first saw the TLX prototype at the Detroit auto show in January. Not much has changed from the so-called prototype, at least technically. The TLX will get either the companys 2.4-liter four making about 200 hp, or the 3.5-liter V6 making about 310 hp. Acura hasnt revealed the exact output. The four will work with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission; the V6 gets the companys nine-speed auto.

Both engines will be offered with two and four-wheel drive. All versions will get Acuras cutely named P-AWS (Precision All-Wheel Steer) and the V6s will get SH-AWD (Super-Handling All Wheel Drive), which is 25 percent lighter than the last system. An alphabet soup of safety features includes collision mitigation braking system (CMBS), forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keeping assist system (LKAS), adaptive cruise control (ACC) with low-speed follow and blind spot indicator (BSI). After falling 8% in calendar year 2014 – and 17% in January 2014 – sales of the Impala-class cars tumbled 9% in January 2015. In other words, sales of these cars in January 2015 were down 24% compared with January 2013 levels.

After declines in the final four months of 2014, the anticipated 2015 Charger may have finally taken hold in the first month of 2015. With 7025 sales, Charger volume was up by 1825 units.

The leader of the pack, Chevrolets Impala, was down 23%. That decline played a role in GMs overall 7% passenger car decrease.

January 2015 Canada Passenger Car Sales Rankings Top 145 Best Selling Cars In Canada Every Car Ranked

2015 Toyota Camry XSE red
Predictably, car sales in Canada decreased in January. The 3% loss from January 2014 levels brought about total market share for passenger cars of just 36.6%, down from 39.1% in January 2014.

From leaders like the Honda Civic (which fell 31%) to midpack cars like the Chevrolet Sonic (which slid 41%) to high-end, low-volume luxury cars like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (down 51%), decreased volume for specific nameplates were common in Canada in January 2015.

But there were cars that improved upon their January 2014 totals. The top-selling Hyundai Elantra jumped 15% to its best January ever.

The second, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth-best-selling cars contributed an extra 2112 sales as the Volkswagen Golf more than tripled its January volume, as the Honda Fit nearly tripled, and as the Toyota Camry, Canadas best-selling midsize car last month, jumped 61%.

But the trend that suggests car sales in Canada will form a smaller and smaller portion of the overall industrys volume is a longstanding one. Moreover, even if car sales increase, its unlikely that theyll increase as rapidly as pickup trucks (up 10% in January) and utility vehicles (up 2% in January).
