Range Rover fourth model Released in coming years

According to a recent report, Land Rover is planning to add a fourth model to the Range Rover lineup.While details are limited, Autocar is reporting several sources have stated officials are pleased with the response to the Evoque. They now believe there is room to slot an addditional model between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport.It remains unclear what the model will be, but it will likely ride on the same underpinnings as the Evoque / Freelander 2 (LR2). Speculation seems to suggest it could be a seven-seater, which sounds logical since current Range Rovers only seat five.

2012 Range Rover: is available in four trims: base HSE, HSE Lux, Supercharged and Autobiography. The 2012 Range Rover has two versions of its 5.0-liter V8, depending on the trim level you choose, and both are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base 2012 Range Rover HSE and the HSE Lux come with a version of the V8 that makes 375 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque.

Upgrading to the aptly-named 2012 Range Rover Supercharged trim gets you a supercharged version of the V8 that makes 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. Unfortunately, all of this power combined with a heavy curb weight and full-time four-wheel drive results in depressingly low fuel economy ratings.
